My son and some of his friends are enrolled at a culinary program for next school year. I embroidered this apron as a gift for one of the friends. The apron is a nice heavy duty one from Sam’s club. I purchased a set of three for 10 bucks and added this dragon in red (the recipient’s favorite color) to this one. The dragon design is from urbanthreads.com. The gift went over well with the teen. I am pretty pleased with the colors and the ease of embroidering on this fabric. Still loving my embroidery machine!!
Making home made pasta at my mom’s house with my kids. This was one of the best days!! The kids loved making the pasta. Everyone made their own type. My daughter and mom made the bow ties which seemed to turn out the best. We did everything outside and then cooked it all on the bbq. Yum!
I have been bringing samples and goodie bags from Blue Bunny Sweet Freedom ice cream to my family and friends. Who doesn’t love ice cream?
My girl scout troop of 5-7 year olds and their mothers ate the Ice Cream Bar Crunch Lites happily and without noticing that it was lower sugar ice cream. I have to say I like these the best out of the ones we have tried.
I shared the snack size Chocolate and Vanilla Swirl ice creams with my teenagers and neighbors who all seemed to enjoy them.
My kids and I tried the Fudge Lite bars…they like them, me not so much. They are not horrible, just not my favorite.
My mom, kids and I tried the banana split scoop-able ice cream…yumm!
Overall so far the Sweet Freedoms have been very good, and surprisingly no one has noticed that they are low sugar. I am still planning to share with more friends. Can’t wait to see what their reactions are.
I received this beautiful set of samples from Gucci and Bzzagent.com. The packaging was so pretty and of such nice quality…I felt really special opening it. The pretty little glass bottle samples were a hit with my friends. Everyone loved them and seemed to have a hard time picking which one they wanted out of the three. All the scents are very pleasant. I tried the Glamourous Magnolia and was very pleased. Looking forward to trying Gracious Tuberose and Gorgeousness Gardenia.
What a complete and total disappointment. This a two scoop ice cream sundae. The first photo is their ad, the other two photos were what I got. There was a cherry on top but it slid off. I am so bummed. We took the whole family for ice cream tonight, all 5 of us. My husband got a soft serve parfait which looked pretty good. My daughter got a children’s scoop…she was happy. One of my boys also got the disappointing two scoop sundae and my other son got a one scoop cup which was bigger than our two scoop sundaes. I thought I was getting myself an extra treat tonight because I usually just get a single scoop cone, boy am I disappointed.
Today is Endangered Species Day
“Once believed to be extinct, black-footed ferrets are slowly recovering with the help of captive breeding programs. This photo of a mother and her four kits was taken in a “preconditioning pen” at the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s National Conservation Center in Colorado where captive bred ferrets learn to survive in their natural habitat before being released into the wild at reintroduction sites. Photo by Mike Lockhart.”
